We’re delighted to welcome you to this site dedicated to digital tools for Dyslexic people.

It’s estimated that around 1 in 10 people are dyslexic, with at least 1 in 25 as severely dyslexic. Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder that affects the ability to process reading, spelling, or writing (or all three combined). Neurodivergence acknowledges that every human is different, meaning dyslexia should not be considered a disease.

At IRIS, we spent much time and resources to create efficient, affordable, simple and easy to use material (software and hardware solutions) for supporting, training, and improving persons/children suffering from dyslexia.

As for example, our desktop application, that is straightforward so anyone can use it. It’s efficient, easy to understand, train with, and share with anyone. The application comes with tons of unique features. One of the best is its ability to read loud all types of digital files or papers by highlighting words, at the speed of your choice. With this brand new version, we added some new undeniably effective features such as font type, size, font color, back ground color options, to enable the best possible environment for each dyslexic individual.

Such solution for dyslexic help persons with dyslexia to read, spell, and write well with little practice. Readiris Dyslexic addresses all types of dyslexia except dyscalculia (so dyslexia – dyspraxia – dysorthographia – dysphasia – dysgraphia).

It’s lit!

The impact of this scanner on everyday life is truly phenomenal. Imagine scanning your employment contract and, bang! It’s read! How many of us don’t read the whole contract or don’t understand it, especially when it’s in columns of Arial 8, for example? I have shown you a few demonstrations with a history & geography book and a French textbook. Both were printed on glossy paper but, as you have seen, there was no problem scanning or reading them. You’ll find everything I have tested on the wall: both the videos and the photo album of the procedures that are explained in this short video. In any case, once again I’d like to thank the team from Iris • PDF software & portable scanners – Canon group, because this is a really great tool that they have developed. I remember when they appealed to the community for feedback on their portable scanners so they could fine-tune them to suit children’s needs. It’s a company that is very attentive to the needs of our children and our community, and believe me, that’s something priceless!
